Get to Know Phuket

Phuket is a tropical idyll that will surprise you with her size and dazzle you with her natural beauty.

She is fringed with white sanded beaches, has broad mountains that follow the west coast, golf courses dot the interior and Phang Nga Bay with amazing Islands beckons those who visit the untouched and sparsely populated East coast.

Visitors can stay in the North and enjoy the solitude of 15 mile beaches, or guests can savour the sophistication of 5 star service or can enter the dragon and hear the heart beat of Patong. Phuket town with its sino-portugese shophouses and markets is a fun diversion or ride an elephant high into the jungle or scuba dive some of the best diving in the world.

Phuket is a diverse and unusual place. A place that many call home, and a place that remains one of the best Islands in the world.

The NY times in January voted our island as the worlds best luxury destination which was a vote of confidence in Phuket and further cemented its reputation at the high end.

For those with tighter budgets Phuket offers incredible value year round, with fantastic food, cheap coconuts and a huge range of accommodation.

High season starts in November with the arrival of large numbers of European travelers and rolls into Peak season at Christmas and New Years, which also co-incides with the driest months, superb west coast boating and sparkling electric-blue waters.

High season continues with February and March with occasional cooling thunder storms late in the afternoon and generally the Andaman Sea remains like an Azure lake.

Temperatures year round are in a tight range, with sunny days generally around 30 degrees and cool evenings that almost never require anything more than a linen shirt.

March remains very busy in the lead up Easter and Songkran, the fun water festival and the arrival of Summer Season. It can be stormy which is generally a welcome cooling few hours and never stays for long.
